Finishing first with 31 points from 12 games, Italy lost just twice all competition and won their remaining ten matches.
Italy will be hoping to continue their impressive form in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League when they face a struggling Netherlands side in the quarterfinal. The Italians finished top of the table and were one of the in-form teams in the tournament. They will be up against a Dutch side who were poor in the last few matches and will clearly be the underdog in this fixture. It is to be noted that Italy had beaten the Netherlands in their last round one match on 10th July. Hence, the Dutch side will be keen to enact revenge but to do that, they have to regain their early season form ahead of this encounter.
Finishing first with 31 points from 12 games, Italy lost just twice all competition and won their remaining ten matches. Their form in this month has been particularly impressive, with the side winning all four matches they played in July till now. Their last match was a 3-0 win over the same opponent. Meanwhile, the Netherlands, who finished eight, are heading into this fixture on the back of a bad run of form. They lost their last three matches in round one and one of them was against Italy. Hence, the Dutch team has to be at the top of their game to cause an upset in this fixture.
