France finished fourth, while Japan took the fifth spot. The Europeans got 28 points from 12 games, while the Asians got one less with 27 points.
In a clash between two evenly poised sides, France will be taking on Japan in the quarterfinals of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. In Thursday’s encounter, there will not be much to separate both sides. Be it in points, wins and losses, there is not that big a difference between these two teams. Both sides have had their ups and downs in this competition and will back themselves to reach the semifinal. However, it will be hard to call a winner in this fixture. Notably, these two sides faced each other at the end of last month when the Europeans emerged victorious.
At the end of the round one clash, France finished fourth, while Japan took the fifth spot. The Europeans got 28 points from 12 games, while the Asians got one less with 27 points. Their win and loss record is identical with nine victories and three defeats each. This month, France’s form has been inconsistent, as they won two and lost the other two to the USA and Argentina. Meanwhile, Japan won three of their four games this month but lost their last match to Brazil 3-0. It will be difficult to separate both sides, however, France will be slightly confident after beating them earlier in this competition.
