The 2023 FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship will be the 18th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship. This is the biennial international youth volleyball championship that features the under-19 male national teams of FIVB member federations. The FIVB is the world governing body of this sport. It will be held in San Juan (Argentina). Athletes must be born on or after 1 January 2005. Poland is the defending champion of the last edition of the World Championship.
Wednesday will see France take on Egypt in the Quarter-finals of the FIVB Volleyball Boys U19 World Championship. France is currently ranked eighteenth in the volleyball U19 world rankings. Egypt, on the other hand, is ranked tenth in the Volleyball U19 World Ranking. Heading into Wednesday’s match, France is coming after thrashing Mexico in the Round of 16 (3-1). On the other hand, Egypt also won against Columbia after initial hiccups (3-1). The next task for both teams is to dethrone each other and march on to the finals. Let us see who has the last laugh in the quarters.
Twenty teams are divided into 4 pools of five in a round-robin system. The best four teams from each pool will qualify for the playoffs, while the rest will participate in the classification for 17th to 20th place. The hosts Argentina and the top seven teams of the Boys’ U19 FIVB World Ranking in force at that time (as of 24 October 2022) were seeded in the first two positions of each pool following the serpentine system. The remaining 12 teams were divided into three pots of four. It was done according to their position in the same Boys’ U19 FIVB World Ranking. Hosts Argentina got an automatic qualification in these fixtures.

The FIVB Volleyball U19 World Championship for Boys starts on 2 August and ends on 13 August 2023.
