The Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023 is scheduled to start on August 19th in Urmia, Iran, and will conclude on August 26th of the same year. Enthusiasts of volleyball can witness the live matches at two distinct venues situated in Urmia – namely the Ghadir Arena and the Shahidan Ahandoust Hall. This championship, organized in cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) and the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), is entering its 22nd edition. This prestigious tournament serves as a platform for senior men’s teams from various member nations of the AVC.
Among the 17 participating nations, a total of 12 teams will progress to the knockout stage games at the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023. This distinguished group includes teams like Iran, Pakistan, China, India, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Bahrain, Chinese Taipei, Iraq, Qatar, and Thailand. The top-seeded teams Iran (1) and Japan (2) have the luxury which grants them and their opponents in the final 12 stage a direct route to the semi-finals, thus passing the quarter-final phase. On August 23, 2023, China will play India in the Round of 12 match at the Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship 2023.
