China will be looking to gain a bit of momentum in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League after ending their losing streak in the last game. On the back of the 3-0 victory over Poland, they will be eager to build on that result when taking on Dominican Republic on Friday. The Chinese women started the tournament on an impressive note before losing their way. They suffered a run of poor results before finally ending it against Canada in their last game. Meanwhile, Dominican Republic seem to have turned the tables around in recent matches and are currently enjoying a good run of form.
Placed fifth in the table, China have 20 points from 10 games, having won six matches and lost on four occasions. The Chinese women had lost only one of the opening six matches and that defeat came against Thailand. However, they lost their next three games against the USA, Japan and Brazil. But they ended this losing streak with a victory over Poland in the last game. On the other hand, Dominican Republic are placed tenth in the table with 12 points from 10 matches. However, they won three of their last four games and will be heading into this upcoming clash on a positive note.
