The grand finale of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League’s fifth season is July 16, 2023, and is set aside as the date for the grand finale of the fifth season of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League. May 30, 2023, marked the league’s inaugural game. In Arlington, Texas, the finals will take place. The competition’s 16 teams will square off in 104 games in the same format that was established in 2022. Before the final stage, there is a preliminary stage in which the games are divided into pools of matches with match numbers 1 through 6, with games taking place in locations like Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya.
Throughout the first phase, which lasts three weeks, each team competes in a total of 12 matches against various opponents. Based on who managed to score the most points during this period, the top eight competitors will move on to the final round. The final segment consists of three rounds: the semifinal, the championship match, and the quarterfinals. Since they are hosting the final stage, the United States has already guaranteed themselves a place in the final eight, though it is unclear where they will finish.
On June 18, 2023, Bulgaria will play the Netherlands in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League. Two strong teams will face off in this matchup. Bulgaria is ranked sixteenth in the world, while the Netherlands is 13th. Following the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League 2022, Bulgaria placed fourteenth overall, while the Netherlands placed eleventh. This time, both teams want to finish first in the standings.
