The FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League will conclude its fifth season on July 16, 2023. On May 30, 2023, the fifth season got underway. Arlington, Texas will play host to the championship matches. The competition has the same format as in 2022, with 16 teams going up against one another in 104 matches. Before the final round, there is a preliminary round in which the matches are divided into six pools and played in locations like Bangkok, Nagoya, Hong Kong, Brasilia, and Antalya.
During the first stage of the competition, which lasts three weeks and features a variety of opponents, each team takes part in a total of 12 matches. Depending on which players managed to score the most points during this period, the top eight will move on to the final round. The third and final round, which includes the semifinal and championship games, is the last part of the competition. Since the United States is hosting the final stage, a spot in the final eight has already been secured for them, though their exact placement is unknown.
Brazil struggled against Germany but prevailed in Pool 1 of the 2022 FIVB Women’s VNL‘s opening match in Shreveport-Bossier City, USA. Several new players were added to the squad during the competition that kicks off the Olympic cycle by head coach José Roberto Guimarães ’Zé Roberto.
