Francis Ngannou, the UFC heavyweight champion, feels he has at least five years remaining in the ring. Following his victory against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270, it became clear that Francis Ngannou would be sidelined for quite some time due to a knee injury. ‘The Predator’ has been on the mend since his operation earlier this year, and his rehabilitation in Las Vegas is continuing. While some believe Ngannou will return to defend his title once he’s completely recovered, others believe his tense relationship with the UFC will drive him to a boxing match with Tyson Fury. There’s also the potential that he never fights again, but the 35-year-old quickly dismissed that thought when asked about it on social media.

Franicis Ngannou future

Francis Ngannou understands what it’s like to endure hardship at the highest level, and despite a number of defeats in recent years, he’s never given up on his ultimate aim. Now that he is in reality at the top of the category, it looks like there are more challengers than ever before. Along with Gane, there’s Tai Tuivasa, Stipe Miocic, Jon Jones, Tom Aspinall, Curtis Blaydes, and a few other promising possibilities. If we do get to see Ngannou in the Octagon again, there’s a good chance we’ll witness some incredible barnburners.

Francis Ngannou hasn’t fought since defeating Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January. In the pay-per-main view’s event, Ngannou defeated the undefeated French boxer. He used his wrestling skills this time to get past a deft attacker like Gane. Fans saw a different side of the champion as he demonstrated that he is more than a one-trick pony. He’s had knee surgery since then and is anticipated to be sidelined for a long time. His return date has yet to be determined. Fans will also be watching to see if Ngannou fights again in the octagon or in the boxing ring. There has also been speculation of a battle with Tyson Fury.
