Josh Emmett and Calvin Kattar put on a show in their featherweight contest Saturday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, which was the main event of a UFC Austin Fight Night program. However, Emmett’s gory five-round split-decision victory over Kattar was far from the night’s greatest or most memorable battle. A UFC record-tying eight knockouts were recorded on the 13-fight night, including five in the first round and one submission that was built up by hard blows.

In a row, Roman Dolidze knocked out Kyle Daukaus, Phil Hawes knocked out Deron Winn, and Cody Stamann knocked out Eddie Wineland in a row. Kevin Holland’s agility and precision striking were too much for Tim Means in the co-main event, and the finishes kept coming. Holland landed a vicious combo on Means in the second and ended him with a D’Arce choke for the night’s lone submission. It was a good night of bouts, significantly less high-profile than the one that came before it at UFC 275 in Singapore a week earlier, but it was still a lot of fun.
