UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett succumbed to a notorious Twitter user’s troll attempt and volunteered to fight them during a charity argument. The well-known social media prankster ReallyNiceDerek, who created several false boxing news reports, including the start of Tommy Fury and Jake Paul’s rivalry, caught Pimblett off guard with a tweet making fun of his charitable contributions. The lightweight contender has already claimed that if he begins making a lot of money, he will make sure that kids in Liverpool don’t have to eat from food banks.

But Derek, who goes by the moniker “Del G,” poked fun of him for not making philanthropic contributions in a tweet that reached the UFC fighter. He made a joking post in which he questioned Pimblett if his close buddy Molly McCann, who competes in the flyweight category for the UFC, was “as tight” as him. This sparked a conversation between the two of them as well as other fans who got the joke.

Derek wrote in a tweet, “Hi Paddy how are you? Was just thinking about the time you admitted you have never given a single penny to a food bank because you ‘don’t get Conor McGregor paydays’ and it got me wondering, are you the biggest fraud of all time? Is Molly McCann as tight as you too? He was referring to Pimblett’s post-fight press conference at UFC London in March, where the Liverpool native was asked what he would do if he ends up at the Irishman’s level of stardom. He replied: “I do hope I end up earning as much money as Conor McGregor. I’m going to give back to my city. No child in this city would ever eat from a food bank ever again.”

The tweet sparked a flood of responses from Pimblett and his followers, who didn’t seem to realise that the social media user is a well-known troll. Derek stated that he would be making further payments when Pimblett released images of his contributions. A charity battle between the Scouse fighter and Derek was eventually proposed, with the winnings going to a UK famine relief organisation. They tweeted: “You know what you should really do, Del? Seeing as your such a huge charity giver, why not step in to a ring with Paddy and all the proceeds can go to the foodbanks, deal?”
