Talks have been ongoing on a new contract for Brozovic over the past several months and the club have confirmed that he has put pen to paper on a new deal. Tying Brozovic down is a major boost for Inter, who have seen several high-profile departures from the first team in the past year, that includes Romelu Lukaku leaving for Chelsea and Achraf Hakimi joined Paris Saint-Germain.

Apart from Brozovic, many other Inter stars have also recently extended their contracts with the Serie A champions. Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, Nicolò Barella and Lautaro Martinez have all put pen to paper on new contracts over the last few months.

Brozovic joined Inter Milan from Dinamo Zagreb in 2015. He has played 279 matches for the Italian club, scoring 26 goals and registering 35 assists. He was a pivotal part of the Inter team that won the Serie A title last season and he has made 70 appearances for the Croatian national team.

Inter are currently placed third in the points table, having dropped points in their last two games. The defending champions have 60 points from 29 games, six points adrift of the leaders AC Milan, but have a game in hand.
