Alavro Morata scored a brace as Juventus beat Sampdoria 3-1 in the Serie A fixture on Saturday. The Spanish forward admits head coach Massimiliano Allegri revived his confidence, but the future is out of his hands. Juve took the lead through Maya Yoshida’s own goal before Alvaro Morata doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Though the hosts pulled one back through Abdelhamid Samiri, Morata’s second of the night sealed Juve’s victory.

“I had a conversation with the coach when we started the season. When your boss has faith in you, that means something, because we all want to hear those words that give you confidence and fuel your desire to work even harder,” Morata told DAZN.

“I am happy because the team has now found this unity and spirit of sacrifice. It’s a very different atmosphere to earlier in the season.”

The 29-year-old has been in good form for the Turin club, having scored eight goals and registered five assists in 28 league appearances so far. Since the arrival of Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January, Morata has been mostly playing on the left side of the three-man attack.

Morata has been doing a good job alongside Vlahovic and the center-forward adapted pretty well to his new role.  The Spaniard is on loan from Atletico Madrid and  with an option to buy, which Juve are reportedly trying to negotiate down after two seasons in Turin.

“The future is not up to me. If I am not here next season, I will still be the biggest Juve fan. We will try everything we can to win the league title.

“We are Juve, it has been a bit of an odd year, but anything can still happen in Serie A and the Champions League.

“Juve are one of the best sides in the world, so I am proud to be here and happy to play any role that is asked of me.”

Morata scored his first of the night on 34 minutes when Moise Kean was brought down inside the box by Omar Colley and the referee pointed to the spot. Morata stepped up, sent the goalkeeper the wrong way and smashed into the net. The Spaniard completed his brace on 88minutes when he headed home from Manuel Locatelli’s  cross.
