Roman Kryklia embarked on his journey with ONE Championship, one of the world’s leading martial arts organizations, in 2019. His debut in the promotion was truly extraordinary. He showcased his exceptional skills when he competed against Tarik Khbabez for the inaugural ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship.
The bout between Kryklia and Khbabez was an intense and thrilling encounter. Both fighters demonstrated their remarkable skills and unwavering determination. However, Kryklia emerged victorious in the second round, securing a technical knockout against Khbabez. His first title defense occurred in 2020 at ONE Championship: Collision Course when he squared off against Andrei Stoica. Demonstrating tremendous skill and determination, Kryklia successfully defended his title against Stoica. He won the bout via unanimous decision.
Kryklia defended his title for the second time at ONE: Full Circle. His opponent was Murat Aygun. Once again, Kryklia demonstrated his exceptional skills and power by securing a first-round knockout victory over Aygun.
