Former UFC fighter Mike Jackson is set to make his post-UFC debut in an eagerly anticipated showdown against UFC Hall of Famer Pat Miletich. The bout is described as a battle of skill, age, and ideology. It is scheduled for Caged Aggression 36. It will be held at the RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa. Promoter Mike Goodwin confirmed that the fight will be three five-minute rounds and will be fully sanctioned.

Mike Jackson’s UFC journey was anything but ordinary with a three-fight run that saw both highs and controversies. Notably, he secured a win over CM Punk though it was later overturned to a no-contest. Another victory came via disqualification against Dean Barry at UFC Vegas 52 in April 2022. However, his final UFC bout ended in disappointment with a 93-second stoppage loss to Pete Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 62 in October.

Jackson found himself embroiled in a heated feud with retired MMA veteran Jake Shields. The rivalry even led to an impromptu altercation with Shields at the UFC Performance Institute. Jackson had his sights set on another challenge a fight with Pat Miletich.

Jackson revealed that the 55-year-old Miletich had harassed him on social media sparking his interest in the matchup. Miletich is a UFC veteran with an impressive record of 8-2 during his ten-fight run. He had previously captured the UFC welterweight title and was later inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in July 2014.

Miletich believed that Jackson didn’t have the courage to face him in the cage. However, the match was eventually booked, much to the delight of fight fans who are eager to see how this bout unfolds. For Pat Miletich, this fight marks his first MMA bout in over a decade since his last appearance in December 2008.

Caged Aggression 36 promises to be an unforgettable event. Featuring a highly anticipated clash between two fighters from different eras of MMA. The Octagon veteran Miletich will step into the cage after a long hiatus, while Jackson aims to prove himself in the post-UFC phase of his career.
