Following his impressive victory, he expressed his aspirations through a translator, stating, “I want to achieve the same level of success, if not surpass it, as my fellow Chechen fighter, Khamzat Chimaev.”

The emergence of Bizarro Khamzat, as Maaev is sometimes referred to, adds an intriguing twist to the narrative. With his similar appearance and combat prowess, it’s hard not to draw comparisons to the established star. However, Maaev is determined to forge his own path.
