The Pune Leg of the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 marked its conclusion on November 16, 2022. Bengaluru Bulls are at the top of the team standings, with nine wins and four losses in 14 games. Puneri Paltan and Jaipur Pink Panthers occupy the second and third spots respectively in the points table. The PKL Season 9 will now move to its third leg, i.e., Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad from November 18 onwards. Before the commencement of the third leg, let’s take a look at the top three raiders of the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 after the end of the games in Pune.

Bharat Hooda (Team – Bengaluru Bulls)

The Bengaluru Bulls’ Bharat Hooda is the top-ranked raider currently in the PKL’s ninth season, overtaking Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Arjun Deshwal by a point. In 14 games, the Bulls raider has accumulated 162 total points. He got 16 raid points to bring his total to 162 raid points in Bengaluru’s most recent game against the Telugu Titans, demonstrating his strong play. He has played an instrumental role for the Bulls as they are also the top-ranked team on the team standings after the end of the Pune leg. The raider was retained by the Bengaluru-based franchise ahead of PKL Season 9, owing to his fantastic debut season in the PKL 8 in which he collected 129 raid points.

Arjun Deshwal (Team – Jaipur Pink Panthers)

The second-ranked raider in the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 is Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Arjun Deshwal. The ace raider of the Jaipur franchise has collected a total of 161 raid points in 14 games in season 9 of the Pro Kabaddi League. Arjun has been phenomenal this season for Jaipur. He even scored 13 raid points in Jaipur’s last game against U Mumba. Arjun hails from the city of Muzaffarnagar in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He was chosen for the PKL Season 8 Auction in 2021. Arjun was acquired by the Jaipur Pink Panther for 96 lakhs, making him the third most expensive player in the league. He was retained by the Panthers for PKL Season 9 in the elite player category, which is working out well for the Jaipur team.

Naveen Kumar (Team – Dabang Delhi KC)

Naveen Kumar of Dabang Delhi has taken the third position in the best raiders with a total of 149 points in PKL Season 9. Before a few days, he was the top raider, but Bharat Hooda and Arjun Deshwal surpassed him recently. Despite the Dabang Delhi KC’s poor performance lately, Naveen has been fantastic for the defending champion. In 2018, Naveen made his Pro Kabaddi League debut with Delhi in Season 6. He contributed to the team’s playoff success and concluded the season as its leading scorer with 177 points. His squad finished second as a result of his steady performance in Season 7, which earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award. For his frequent and swift raids, he was also given the nickname “Naveen Express.” During Season 8, he became the league’s fastest player to reach 600 points.
