Naveen Kumar Goyat is an Indian star kabaddi player renowned for his role in both the national team and Dabang Delhi KC in the Pro Kabaddi League. His debut season in 2018 with Dabang Delhi was nothing short of spectacular as he finished as the top scorer with 177 points and led the team to the playoffs.
The season 7 saw Naveen’s star rise even higher as he bagged the Most Valuable Player Award, helping his team to a runner-up finish. His raiding skills saw him collect an impressive score of 300 points in a single season and achieve Super 10s in almost all matches he played. His speed on the court earned him the nickname ‘Naveen Express.’ Despite an injury in Season 8, Naveen made a strong comeback and helped Dabang Delhi in clinching the title and grabbed another MVP award.
Internationally, Naveen Kumar is a key player for the Indian kabaddi team. During the 13th South-Asian Games, he was impressive, scoring a Super 10 in the final against Sri Lanka as India claimed the title. In the 2023 Asian Kabaddi Championships in Busan, Naveen’s performance helped the Indian team earn the gold medal. He was then picked up in India’s squad for the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, China, where India went on to win the gold.
