Bengaluru Bulls had a clear strategy heading into the auction, as they targeted multiple category C players, particularly raiders. They made their intentions clear after grabbing Vikash Kandola for Rs. 1.7 crores during the auction. The ace raider has 16 Super Raids and 25 Super 10s under his possession. With Bharat, experienced More GB, Neeraj, and Sachin Narwal on their side, the team’s attacking line-up looks formidable. The team had retained ten players before the auction. Out of which, eight were defenders. During the auction, they bought only one defender in the form of Sudhakar Kadam. This implied that the team entrusts its defenders and hopes them to perform well on the big stage. The team will receive the services of Saurabh Nandal and Mahender Singh in this department.

Bengaluru’s best finish came in Season 6 when they clinched their maiden Pro Kabaddi League title in 2019. The team defeated Gujarat Fortunegiants 38-33 to lift their first-ever title, with raider Pawan Sehrawat gathering 22 points in his 25 raids. In the previous edition, the team ended their campaign with a fifth place finish. The team became the runner-up in season 2 and finished third in season 7 and season 1.
