In this season’s competition, a total of twelve teams are competing for the coveted title. The league is organized in a double round-robin style, which means each team gets the chance to play on their home turf.

U Mumba have won just one game in the three matches played this season, with their last win against UP Yoddhas in the first game. They will aim to be back to their winning ways against Patna on Friday. Meanwhile, after registering two successive victories, the Pirates lost against Bengal Warriors by 42-60 on December 12.
