Panthers clinch a victory against the Giants in a low scoring encounter

Jaipur Pink Panthers secured their third victory in a row as they got the better of Gujarat Giants 25-18 in the first game on October 15. Defenders Sahul Kumar and Ankush scored some wonderful tackle points as Jaipur took a 6-3 lead in the sixth minute. In the 12th minute, Jaipur increased their lead to 10-5 through a stunning raid by Rahul Chaudhari. As the Panthers retained a three-point advantage at 12-9 at the end of the first half, Giants’ Rakesh attempted to turn things around for his team, but he struggled to consistently break through the Jaipur defense. The Panthers maintained their 13-10 lead despite the Giants’ increased zeal in the second half, tackling Gujarat’s Dong Geon Lee, who was captured shortly afterward. The Panthers were in a great position with a score of 17-12 in the 30th minute as defender Abhishek KS also showed his skills. The Jaipur raiders took their time in the final minute and ultimately sealed a convincing victory.

Defending champions Dabang Delhi continue their dominance

The raiding of Naveen Kumar (12 points), Manjeet (9 points), and an outstanding defensive game by Ravi Kumar and Ashu Malik led Dabang Delhi to defeat the Titans convincingly to maintain their perfect record this season. Before the Titans could even score, the defending champions jumped up to a 7-point advantage. Delhi took an 11-2 lead after only six minutes of play by imposing the first All out of the game. In the first half, Dabang had eight tackle points while the Titans only had one. They headed into the interval with a well-deserved lead of 24-10. As the second half began, Telugu Titans substitute Mohsen Maghsoudlou provided them with hope. Mohsen managed to get the Titans a key point on a do or die raid, allowing them to chip away at the Titans’ lead. Delhi, however, seized control of the situation right away. Vinay, the only man standing, was taken off guard as the capital city team inflicted their second ‘All Out’ to take a commanding lead of 30-12. Delhi eventually took complete control of the game, thrashing the Titans with a 20-point difference.

Three-time champions Patna yet to win a game in Season 9

In the third game, Bengal Warriors crushed Patna Pirates by 54-26 to secure their third victory in the tournament. In the 14th minute, Maninder slipped out of Shadloui’s ankle hold and landed a blow on Rohit Gulia, imposing the first all-out. The Bengal Warriors were up by a score of 26-11 at the break. Due to Maninder Singh and Shrikant Jadhav’s raiding prowess, Bengal led by 15 points. Shrikant Jadhav escaped a very slick back hold and got a touch on all three defenders on the mat to inflict the third all-out, bringing the score to 39-19. The fourth all-out was then inflicted by Bengal which made the scoreline 51-23, thus completely overshadowing the Pirates in the game.
