Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals will take on each other in their next fixture of the IPL 2022. The PBKS vs RR match is going to be the 52nd match of IPL 2022 that will take place on May 7 (Saturday) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. PBKS have 10 points in their name from as many matches and a win will help them to be in the race for IPL 2022 playoffs. However, a defeat against RR will move the Mayank Agarwal led side down in the points table as well. Punjab got off to a great start with all their batters doing well. But, their over-aggressive approach somehow affected the balance of their side and they failed to keep up the momentum.

However, all-rounder Rishi Dhawan’s inclusion has given a balance to the franchise. Along with this, Shikhar Dhawan has been doing well but to go further, the team needs a lot more from their captain Mayank Agarwal, Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone too as well. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have 12 points so far from 10 games and they are one of the strongest sides among the top 4 as of now. But a defeat can see different consequences for the Sanju Samon-led side as then they will have to win the rest of 3 matches to be in the race for playoffs as well. However, RR’s batting hasn’t been that good on the whole if Jos Buttler does not score, and Sanju Samson doesn’t contribute much. Apart from them, Shimron Hetmyer is a bit consistent among others as well. Meanwhile, their bowling unit is looking good with spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin leading the game as well. Along with them, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Sen have been doing quite well. So, the game is going to be very crucial for both Punjab and Rajasthan.
