In-form Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will taken on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the match 53 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season on May 7 (Saturday) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The KL Rahul-led side is place at the second spot having won seven out of their 10 matches this season. LSG’s skipper has been their key man this season and his form might just be enough to take the team to the playoffs. KKR have failed to make significant strides this season and is languishing at the seventh spot after winning four from 10 matches. Kolkata’s openers have failed to give them a bright start so far season, which is one of their main worries. They would need strong performances from their batsmen including skipper Shreyas Iyer if they are to win this match against the in-form LSG. Umesh Yadav, Sunil Narine and Anukul Roy could prove to be the key in the bowling attack, just like they did against Rajasthan Royals (RR).
