IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match moved to Brabourne Stadium amid Covid-19 scare

The IPL 2022 Match No. 32 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings has been relocated after some capital franchise members were tested positive for Covid-19.

The IPL 2022 Match No. 32 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on April 20 has been officially relocated after members from the capital franchise were tested positive for Covid-19. The match will go on as per schedule at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. 

According to a media release from the governing body of the lucrative tournament, the decision to move the match out of Pune was taken “to avoid any further incident due to any undetected case during a long-distance bus journey in a closed environment.”

IPL 2022: Covid-19 scare clouds Delhi Capitals camp

Delhi Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and four other members had tested positive for Covid-19 as per his second RT-PCR result. However, a fourth round of RT-PCR tests conducted on Tuesday morning, has returned negative results.

The capital franchise will have to undergo another round of tests in the morning ahead of their fixture. They will come out of the forced isolation and will practice at the BKC ground on Tuesday evening.
Marsh, Patrick Farhat (physiotherapist), Chetan Kumar (sports massage therapist), Dr Abhijit Salvi (team doctor) and Akash Mane (social media content team member) are in isolation for testing positive. 

The capital franchise are scheduled to play another fixture on April 22 against Rajasthan Royals in Pune. And it remains to be seen if the governing body decides to move the match to Mumbai. 
As of now there is no clarity on the situation of their next game.
