Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have already hit a century in sponsorship revenue ahead of the IPL 2022. CSK, thus, becomes the second franchise in IPL after Mumbai Indians (MI) to cross the three-figure mark through sponsorship deals.

The Chennai-franchise recently renewed their contract with the SNJ Group which helped them cross the INR 100 crore mark in sponsorship revenue. The new contract will see the SNJ Group being a part of the four-time title holders for three more years.

The SNJ Group is a South Indian conglomerate with its interests in various fields including cricket. According to their official website, the family-owned enterprise was formed in 1989, with their investment and partnership spreading over the fields of brewery, sugar, hospitality and power.

The partnership between CSK and SNJ Group began in 2019 and their logo will be visible on the trousers of the CSK’s traditional yellow outfit.

“We are elated to team up with CSK yet again for the fourth year in a row. This sponsorship is the convergence of India’s favourite IPL team and favourite brands, British Empire and SNJ 10000. Staying true to our campaign slogan, our partnership is ‘Semma Mass, Semma Strong,” S.N. Jayamurugan, Chairman of SNJ, was quoted as saying by insidesport.in.
