Vissel Kobe secured their tenth league-win of the season against FC Tokyo last time out thanks to Yoshinori’s first-half brace and one goal from Yuya Osaka. The result extended their unbeaten run to seven games, recording five wins and four clean sheets in the process. The impressive run of form has put Takayuki Yoshida’s side in a strong position to challenge for the title. Ushi have never won Japan’s top flight and finished 13th last season, which is an indication of the excellent improvement this season, and they will be back in the domestic action against Cerezo Osaka on June10. Meanwhile, former Barcelona-man and legendary midfielder Andreas Iniesta will be part of the Vissel Kobe squad, and the former Spanish international will be making his final appearance for the Japanese outfit as the 39-year-old is set to leave the club at the start of July.
Barcelona, on the other hand, lost out to Celta Vigo last time out despite the fact the Ansu Fati got on the scoresheet. It was their their third defeat from their last four outings, but the result didn’t have any significance as Xavi’s side had already sealed the top flight title couple of weeks ago. Blaugrana had recorded 28 league-wins this season and their last success came against Mallorca (3-0) towards the end of May thanks to Fati’s first-half brace and Gavi’s 70th-minute effort. Tuesday’s encounter will be the Catalonia outfit’s last game until July 21, when they begin their pre-season against Juventus.
