Queens Park Rangers will host Norwich City in an EFL Championship fixture at Loftus Road on Wednesday night. Both sides are heading into the match on the back of disappointing defeats on Saturday, with the hosts suffering a 3-0 loss against Coventry City, while Norwich were thrashed 5-1 by Middlesbrough. As of now, QPR are languishing at the 20th spot in the English second tier standings, having collected 43 points from 42 games, just one point clear of the relegation zone. The visitors, meanwhile, are sitting at the 11th position, with 61 points to their name, only two points shy of the top six. Meanwhile, the reverse fixture between these two sides in November last year ended in a goalless draw.

QPR suffered their 21st league-defeat of the season against Coventry on Saturday, courtesy of Viktor Gykores’ brace and one goal from Gustavo Hamer. The result extended their winless run to six games, while losing five matches in that period. The Hoops have won only one match since the turn of the year and that lone success came against Watford last month thanks to Tim Iroegbunam’s lone goal inside the opening 15 minutes. It was Super Hoops’ 11 Championship-win of the season. Meanwhile, QPR have the second-worst home-record in the second division this season, having won only six of their 21 matches at Loftus Road so far.
Norwich, on the other hand, have the sixth-best away record in the league this season, having taken 32 points from a possible 63 on the road. The Canaries have won 17 league-matches this term and their latest success came away to Blackburn Rovers on April 7, thanks to two unanswered goals from Liam Gibbs and Gabriel Sara. After that, David Wagner’s side played out a goalless draw against Rotherham United, before being demolished by fourth-placed Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium. It was their first away setback since February 11, ending a run of five matches without losing on their travels.
QPR probable starting lineup: Dieng, Dunne, Dickie, Balogun, Paal, Dozzell, Johansen, Field, Willock, Dykes, Chair
Norwich City probable starting lineup: Gunn, Aarons, Omobamidele, Sorensen, Giannoulis, Sara, Nunez, Idah, Sargent, Hernandez, Pukki
