Barcelona will be aiming to extend their winning run to seven games in the La Liga when they host Cadiz at Camp Nou on Sunday night. The hosts are currently occupying top spot in the Spanish top flight standings, having collected 56 points from 21 games, five clear of second-placed Real Madrid, who have played a game extra. Cadiz, on the other hand, moved out of the relegation zone courtesy of two wins from their last three matches and are presently sitting at the 16th position, with 22 points to their name, just a point away from the relegation zone.

Barcelona’s 11 game winning run across all competitions came to an end on Thursday after being held to a 2-2 draw by Manchester United  at Camp Nou in the first leg of their Europa League playoff tie. Blaugrana took the lead through Marcos Alonso’s 50th-minute header, but were forced to come from behind late on, with Raphinha’s long-range effort after Marcos Rashford’s strike and Jules Kounde’s own goal had sent the visitors to a 2-1 lead. Prior to that, Xavi’s side edged past Villarreal at El Madrigal, thanks to Pedri’s lone goal inside the opening 18 minutes. It was their 18th league-win of the season.
