Ten Hag’s men started with an impressive 4-0 victory over Liverpool in their opener in Thailand. They followed it up with a come-from-behind 4-1 victory over Melbourne Victory in their last game. Despite these games being friendlies, the manager can still take a lot of positives with the way the players moved the ball and attacked the opponents in the absence of their star forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have had a mixed summer till now. In the four matches they played this month, they won two, drew one and lost the other.

Possible Lineups

Manchester United will miss their star-man Cristiano Ronaldo and most likely two of their new signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez. These two new recruits will likely miss the Australian Tour and might have to wait a while for their debut. However, their first signing Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial, who returned from his loan spell with Sevilla, will be given the opportunity to continue their positive pre-season spell.

United’s form has been impressive so far, especially their attacking side of play. Hence, a lot of their attackers like Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga could all feature for them. However, question marks hang over midfielder James Garner’s participation due to fitness concerns. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have brought in Malcolm Ebiowei, Cheick Doucoure and Sam Johnstone. They all could play some minutes on Tuesday. Both sides are expected to rotate their teams massively in each half to give a lot of players sufficient game time.

Manchester United possible line-up: Heaton, Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Malacia, McTominay, Fred, Fernandes, Rashford, Elanga, Martial

Crystal Palace possible line-up: Guaita, Clyne, Ward, Andersen, Mitchell, Rak-Sakyi, Phillips, Milivojevic J Ayew, Edouard, Mateta
