Leicester City will play host to Plymouth Argyle in an EFL Championship fixture at King Power Stadium on Saturday. Both sides are heading into the match on the back of 2-1 wins last weekend, with the hosts getting the better of West Bromwich Albion, while the Pilgrims defeated Stoke City. The Foxes are currently occupying top spot in the English second tier standings, having taken 46 points from 19 games, just a solitary point clear of the chasing pack, while the visitors are sitting at the 16th position, with 22 points to their name from 19 outings, six away from the relegation zone.

Leicester started the month of November with back-to-back defeats over Leeds United and Middlesbrough. However, on their return to action following the international break, the Foxes secured victories against the likes of Watford and West Brom either side of a 1-1 draw away to Sheffield Wednesday. Enzo Maresca’s side clinched their 15th league win of the season against the Baggies on Saturday thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s 72nd-minute opener and Harry Wink’s dramatic winner four minutes into the injury time after Josh Maja netted a scrappy 89th-minute equaliser. The victory helped Leicester to remain eight points clear of third-placed Leeds United. Meanwhile, the Foxes have been brilliant at home this term, recording seven wins and two defeats from nine games at King Power Stadium.
Plymouth, on the other hand, also secured a thrilling victory in their last outing against Stoke at the weekend. The Potters took the lead through Tyrese Campbell’s opener mid-way through the first-half, but the Pilgrims equalised two minutes before the break thanks to Mustapha Bundu. Just when it looked like the game was heading into a draw Adam Randell’s scored the winner seven minutes into the injury time and helped Plymouth secure their sixth second tier victory of the campaign. Meanwhile, the reason why the Green Army are trailing the top six by eight points is their poor away-form, not recording a single second tier victory on the road so far this term, while collecting only three points from a possible 27 from their travels.
