The 182nd edition of Derby della Mole is set to take place onTuesday night, when Juventus play host to Torino in a Serie A fixture at Allianz Stadium. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a dominant 3-0 win over Nantes in the second leg of their Europa League playoff tie on Thursday, while Torino were held to a 2-2 league-draw against Cremonese last Monday. Both sides are separated by just a solitary point in the Italian top flight, with Bianconeri occupying eighth spot in the table, with 32 points to their name from 23 games, while the visitors are sitting one place behind Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

Juve are in stunning form having won five of their last six games across all competition. Last time out, Bianconeri put three goals past Nantes in France to secure a 4-1 aggregate win and progress to the last-16 stage of Europa League. Argentine World Cup winner Angel di Maria demonstrated his mastery once again in mid-week, as he scored a hat-trick at Stade de La Beaujoire to help his side secure the win. Prior to that, Bianconeri defeated Spezia 2-0 away from home in the league, thanks to Moise Kean’s opener and a second-half effort from Di Maria. It was their 14th league-win of the season. Only the top two sides Napoli and Inter Milan have recorded more wins in the top flight this season. But, having been docked 15 points in the league due to financial indiscretions, Allegri’s side occupy an unfamiliar mid-table slot in Serie A.

Torino, on the other hand, are aiming to better their last season’s 10th place finish this term and they are on the right track to claim the best of the rest status behind the Serie A top-six. As of now, The Maroons are ten points adrift of sixth-placed Atalanta. Last time out, Granata shared the spoils against rock-bottom side Cremonese, despite the fact that Antonio Sanabria and Wilfried Singo found the back of the net at Olimpico di Torino. Toro have recorded eight wins, as many defeats and seven draws in the Serie A this season.
