Indonesia will play host to Jordan in an AFC Asian Cup qualifier Group A fixture at Jaber Al-ahmad International stadium on Saturday. Both sides head into the ecounter on the back of first round victories. Indonesia started their campaign with a 2-1 win over Kuwait, while the Chivalrous defeated Nepal 2-0 last time out. Both sides sit at the top of the group with three points each and are separated by only goal-difference. Meanwhile this will be the fifth-ever meeting between the two nations and Jordan has a clear advantage in the head-to-head stats, having won all five clashes.

Three days ago, the Red-White came from behind to pocket three points against Kuwait. The Blue Wave took the lead through Youssef Nasser in the 40th minute. But four minutes later, Marc Klok converted a spot kick to level the score for Indonesia. And then, just two minutes into the second half, Rachmat Irianto netted the winner to secure the win for Shin Tae-Yong’s side. It was the Red-White’s fifth victory in their last 10 games, while four of them ended in draws.

Jordan on the other hand, had a comfortable victory against Nepal. Ali Olwan broke the deadlock in the 68th minute before Hamza Al-Dardour doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 82mnd minute to seal the win. It was Jordan’s fourth victory in their last 10 matches, while two of them ended in draws.
