Hull City have had a mixed season so far, recording three wins and two draws to pocket 11 points. The Tigers began their season by collecting eight points from their opening four games courtesy of twos wins against Bristol City and Norwich City. However, Shota Arevaladze’s side couldn’t maintain the unbeaten run and suffered their first league defeat against West Bromwich Albion on August 20. After that, the Tigers got the better of Coventry 3-2 before losing to QPR. Ilias Chair, Ethan Laird and Chris Willock put QPR 3-0 ahead in the first half before Tyler Smith managed to score a consolation goal for Hull City, five minutes from time.
Sheffield United, on the other hand, have made a brilliant start to the season, registering four wins and two draws thus far to pocket 14 points. In their last outing against Reading, Anel Ahmedodzic’s brace and one goal each from Oli McBurnie and Iliman Ndiaye helped the Blades secure all three points. Prior to that, Sheffield United played out a 1-1 draw against Luton town after McBurnie canceled out Carlton Morris’ opener. Meanwhile, Paul Heckingbottom’s side’s four wins have come on home turf thus far.
