Huddersfield began their league campaign with two successive defeats against Burnley (1-0) and Birmingham (2-1), before putting their first points on the etable with a 3-1 victory over Stoke City, thanks to goals from Yuta Nakayama, Danny Ward and Jordan Rhodes. But the Terriers were unable to record another win in their three attempts since, losing to Norwich city and Bristol City on either side of a draw against West Bromwich Albion.
Blackpool, on the other hand, have recorded two wins and two draws so far to pocket eight points. The Seasiders are also vying to return to winning ways , having experienced a mixed campaign thus far. In their last outing against Blackburn, Ben Brereton Diaz’ lone strike handed Blackpool their third league defeat of the season. Prior to that, the Seasiders played out two successive 3-3 draws against Bristol City and Burnley. Meanwhile their two victories came against Reading and QPR.

Huddersfield have a long injury list, as the likes of David Kasumu, Matty Pearson, Michal, Helik, Tyreece Simpson and Luke Mbete are sidelined. Ward is likely to lead the line with Thomas and Anjorin in support. Rudoni and Russell could form the midfield-duo with Turton and Ruffels occupying the flanks.
