Barcelona will be bidding to make it three successive wins in all competitions when they travel to Los Carmenes to take on Granada CF in a La Liga fixture on Sunday night. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 3-3 league-draw away to Almeria last weekend, while Blaugrana secured a narrow 1-0 win over FC Porto in their Champions League group stage fixture in the mid-week. The visitors are currently occupying second spot in the Spanish top flight standings, boasting 20 points from their opening eight games of the season, while Nazaries are languishing at the 19th position, with just five points to their name from their first eight outings.

Granada earned promotion to the La Liga courtesy of winning the 2022-23 Segunda Division title, but Nazaries have struggled to find their feet among the big boys of Spanish football, winning just one league match so far. Paco Lopez’s side secured their lone victory against Mallorca (3-2) towards the end of August, following which they went on a three-game losing streak, before taking two points from their last two outings. Granada fought back from a 3-0 deficit to secure the share of spoils away to Almeria last time out thanks to second-half efforts from Bryan Zargoza Martinez, Ricard Sanchez and Myrto Uzuni. Meanwhile, on a positive note, the Andalusian outfit are unbeaten in their last three encounters against Barcelona, including a 2-1 win at Camp Nou in April 2021.
Barcelona, on the other hand, will enter this contest on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 Champions League-win over Porto on Wednesday night thanks to Ferran Torres’ lone goal on the stroke of half-time. With two wins from their opening two Group H games, Blaugrana are sitting on top of the table. The result extended their unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions this season, while recording eight victories in the period. When it comes to the La Liga, the Catalan outfit has recorded six wins and two draws this campaign, and they are currently trailing leaders Real Madrid by just a solitary point.
