Dynamo Kyiv will be taking on Sturm Graz in the first leg of the Champions League qualifying third round. Wednesday’s encounter at Stadion ŁKS, Poland will be difficult to call, as both teams have their strengths and weaknesses. Both sides finished last season second in their respective leagues. With the intention of doing one better this campaign, they would be keen to have a good start in their national leagues. For now though, they have to leave their domestic duties behind and focus solely on their quest to qualify for the Champions League group phase.

With a lot riding on this tie, both sides are expected to name a strong Starting XI on Wednesday but there are some injury concerns they have to deal with first. Dynamo Kyiv will miss full-back Volodymyr Kostevych, while their forward Ibrahim Kargbo is still a while away from playing for them again due to his lengthy recovery. On the other hand, Sturm Graz’s forward Jakob Jantscher will miss this clash, while Niklas Geyrhofer and Otar Kiteishvili will also join them on the sidelines. It will be interesting to see how they replace these injured players.
