Brentford will host Arsenal in a Premier League fixture at the Gtech community stadium on Sunday afternoon. The kickoff time has been brought forward from 2 pm to 12 pm ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 5-2 win over Leeds United on September 3, while Arsenal recently overcame FC Zurich 2-1 in the Europa League match five days later. The Gunners are currently sitting at the summit of the standings with 15 points from six games, while Brentford are occupying the 9th position, having pocketed nine points thus far.

The Bees have made a decent start to their new league season, recording two wins and three draws so far. Brentford got the better of Leeds courtesy of Ivan Toney’s hat-trick and one goal each from Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa. The result ended a three-game winless streak in the Premier League for the Bees. Prior to the win against Leeds, Thomas Frank’s side played out two consecutive 1-1 draws against Everton and Crystal Palace.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have been in stunning form, having won five of their opening six league games so far. In their latest outing against FC Zurich in the Europa League, Mikel Arteta’s side secured the win courtesy of goals from Marquinhos and Eddie Nketiah. Prior to that, the Gunners suffered their only league defeat of the season, against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Although Bukayo Saka canceled out Antony’s opener, Marcus Rashford’s brace helped the Red Devils secure the win.
