AJA have often been outclassed by more superior and experienced sides in the top flight, having earned just a solitary point against the top 10 opponent. Their last league-win came against Ajaccio on October 30, courtesy of Hamza Sakhi’s lone goal inside the opening eight minutes. It was only their third Ligue 1-win of the season. Monaco, on the other hand, have recorded eight wins in this competitions thus far. The Red and Whites’ last League-win came against Toulouse (2-0) in the first week of November, courtesy of second-half strikes from Aleksandr Golovin and Breel Embolo. And then, Philippe Clement’s men lost to Marseille, a week later, despite the fact that Ben Yedder and Kevin Volland got on the scoresheet.
Gaeten Perrin, who scored AJA’s last Ligue 1 goal this season, is expected to lead the line alongside M’Baye Niang, who has netted five times in the three friendlies played this month. As for Monaco, Switzerland international Breel Embolo will spearhead the attack with Ben Yedder in support.
