There are some notable absentees in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Kyle Jamieson and Jhye Richardson, who was bought for Rs 15 and Rs 14 crore by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, are not there in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Apart from that, there is no Ben Stokes, Joe Root, and Mitchell Starc in the event. There is a conundrum over Jofra Archer. He has been ruled out until the summer of 2022 due to an elbow injury.
Australia has the most overseas player representation in the IPL Auction with 47. They are closely followed by West Indies and South Africa. England, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand have the least on the auction list this time. There is also uncertainty over the availability of England and New Zealand players towards the fag end of the IPL.
