There is a situation evolving with Jofra Archer in IPL 2022. The bowler has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 with an elbow injury but he has registered himself for the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The catch is, since he is injured, there will be no replacement for him. This has presented a conundrum for the teams as to whether they should pick Jofra Archer in the side. He will be available for IPL 2023. However, if he is not picked, then his participation in future tournaments might be in jeopardy.
Apart from that, Neil Wagner of New Zealand has also registered in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The left-arm pacer has been pigeon-holed as a Test specialist and he has not played much of T20 cricket. The last time he played a major T20 tournament was in 2009 for the Otago Volts in the Champions League T20 tournament.
