The Syed Modi International is an annual badminton tournament organized by the Badminton Association of India since 2009.
Syed Modi International is a badminton tournament that will take place at Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow, India. The tournament is slotted between 28 November to 3 December 2023. This tournament has a total prize of $210,000. This year’s Syed Modi International is the 12th edition of the tournament. Moreover, it’s the 34th tournament on the BWF World Tour roster. The tournament has been under Syed Modi International championships since 2009.
Heading into Day 5 of the Syed Modi International will see shuttlers in action in the semifinals. Talking about men’s singles first up will be Alex Lanier of France against Japanese Kenta Nishimoto. On the other hand, India’s Priyanshu Rajawat will be up against Chinese Taipei’s Chi Yu Jen. In the women’s singles, it will be all-Japan semifinals between Nozomi Okuhara and Aya Ohori. The other match will be between Hsu Wen Chi and Line Kjærsfeldt. In the women’s doubles, all eyes will be on the fearless Indian pair of Tanisha Crasto & Ashwini Ponappa as they take on Yuki Fukushima & Sayaka Hirota. The Indian contingent is riding on the lone shoulders of Priyanshu and the women’s doubles duo of Tanisha/Ashwini. Naturally, a lot is riding on the shoulders of these shuttlers.

The 2023 Syed Modi International will commence on November 28 and end on December 3.
Live streaming of Syed Modi International 2023 badminton matches will be available on the Badminton World Federation’s official YouTube channel, BWF TV till the round of 16. However, the Syed Modi International 2023 badminton event live telecast will be available on the Doordarshan TV channel in India from the quarter-final stage onwards.
