After the Thailand Open 2023, the BWF world shifts its attention to another Super 750 event, the Singapore Open 2023. The Singapore Open is an open international championship held annually since 1929. The Singapore Open is the 12th tournament on the 2023 BWF World Tour and the second Super 750 event of the season after the India Open. All the matches will be live-streamed in India.

Heading into the Day 2 of the Singapore Open will see the beginning of the Round of 32. The doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will fight against the Japanese pair of T. Saito and A. Koga in the Round of 32. One of the upsets for the Indians in the round of 32 is the result of the Olympian P.V. Sindhu. The 27-year-old lost to the Japanese international Akane Yamaguchi. However, her compatriot the sixth-seeded Carolina Marin against L. Kjaerfedlt. Another upset of the tournament was the defeat of the former World No. 1 Saina Nehwal. The Indian international was defeated by Rachanok Intanon. The other important matches of the round of 32 were that of Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy and P Rajawat. For Indians, the only glimmer of hope was the performance of Kidambi Srikanth.
