Noah Lyles vs Christian Coleman (Event – Men’s 60m)

Christian Coleman, the current Millrose champion, and Noah Lyles, the world 200m champion, will compete in The Armory, also known as The Fastest Track in the World, after Noah set a personal best and won the 60 meters in Boston. He recorded a personal best of 6.51, beating Trayvon Bromell by 0.002 in the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston, United States. Coleman’s season-opening time in Fayetteville two weeks ago was 6.71, considerably off his 6.34 world indoor record set in 2018. However, given that these two sportsmen are superstars, it will be interesting to see who prevails in the finals.

Ryan Crouser vs Joe Kovacs (Event – Men’s Shot Put)

It will be a fierce battle between the two best-shot putters of the world as Ryan Crouser, the world and Olympic champion, will compete against Joe Kovacs, the double outdoor world champion and two-time Olympic silver medalist, after losing to Crouser. Even though Crouser has won at Millrose three years running and holds both the indoor and outdoor world records, he is aware that his native countryman will be attempting to dethrone him. Kovacs established the world leading-record in 2022, moving up to second all-time, and claimed the Diamond League final in Zurich. In their final competition of the year, Kovacs prevailed in the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial in Bellinzona with a throw of 22.19 meters, followed by Crouser at 22.00 meters.

Aleia Hobbs vs Melissa Jefferson (Event – Women’s 60m)

Aleia Hobbs is aiming for her third consecutive victory in the women’s 60m after setting a meeting mark of 7.02 in Boston. The Boston meet also featured Shericka Jackson and Sydney McLaughlin, who were unable to go past their heats. Aleia also has the record-breaking mark of 6.98, achieved in late January in Fayetteville. Melissa Jefferson, who defeated Hobbs in the last year’s USA Championships, will also be competing in the indoor meeting. Hobbs defeated world indoor silver medalist Mikiah Brisco and Celera Barnes in Boston meet, who will also compete in the indoor tournament and will be seeking revenge.
