Moreover, Sahi didn’t shy away from laying the blame for Arshad Nadeem‘s injury on the Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA). He stated that the institution pressured the recovering athlete into participating in the recent National Games, a competition where Nadeem won with a gold medal. He stated, “Arshad was forced to participate in the National Games. We had warned WAPDA from taking any risk in Arshad’s case as he just recovered from a knee injury.”

Further, Sahi criticized the conditions at the National Games 2023 in Quetta, arguing that the subpar track contributed to Nadeem’s injury. He claimed, “Just for a medal, Arshad was forced to participate in the event in Quetta where the track is also not up to the mark.” He called on the top brass at WAPDA to prioritize their national champions’ wellbeing, reiterating, “Questions should be asked from higher authorities. We need to take care of our players.” It is important to note that WAPDA was the team that Nadeem represented at the 34th National Games
