The Indian women’s 4X100m relay team qualified for the final at the Commonwealth Games 2022. The quartet of Hima Das, Dutee Chand, Srabani Nanda, and Jyothi Yarraji clocked 44.45 sec to finish second in Heat 1. The Jamaican team topped the heat with a timing of 43.66 sec. Dutee started the first leg while Dhing Express Hima ran the second, giving India the lead. Jyothi then played the role of the anchor after taking over the baton from Srabani. Nigeria (42.57s) recorded the best timing, while England (42.72s) and Australia (43.47s) registered second and third place respectively. India finished seventh overall in the heats. The final of the women’s 4X100m relay will take place on Sunday.
