The Commonwealth Games 2022 is underway after the opening ceremony took place at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham last night which marks the beginning of 10 days of intense sporting events. The Prince of Wales declared the Games 2022 open in the presence of an estimated 30,000 spectators. Tony Iommi and Duran Duran were among the performers on the evening. There were numerous dance performances which represented the ethical diversity of Birmingham.

More than 5000 athletes from 72 Commonwealth nations are participating in this edition of the Commonwealth Games and will be geared up to bring glory to their respective countries. Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and Indian men’s hockey team captain Manpreet Singh led the Indian contingent as the flag bearers in the Parade of nations at the inaugural ceremony of the Birmingham Games 2022. India will be hoping to produce an even better performance than its previous edition at the CWG 2022.

Commonwealth Games 2022: When and Where to Watch

The live coverage of the Commonwealth Games 2022 will be available on different networks across the world. In the Indian subcontinent, it will be telecast LIVE from Birmingham on Sony TEN 1, Sony TEN 2, Sony TEN 3, Sony SIX, and Sony TEN 4. The live streaming will be available on the Sony LIV app or website. Elsewhere, BBC will telecast LIVE in United Kingdom, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Canada, Seven Network in Australia, Sky NZ in New Zealand, Mediacorp in Singapore, S4C in Wales, and ESPN in the USA.
