Carmella, a WWE superstar, spoke out about her ectopic pregnancy and the depression she experienced after losing her unborn child on Friday.
Leah Van Dale is an American cheerleader, dancer, fitness trainer, model, professional wrestler, and professional manager. She is currently signed to WWE and her in-ring name is Carmella. She was the women’s champion of SmackDown, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and WWE 24/7 Champion.
“Nothing can prepare you for this news after getting a positive pregnancy test. I was cautiously optimistic this time around after the early loss I had already experienced but was hoping for the best. I spent 12 hours in the ER on Saturday when I started experiencing some sharp pains in my left side. After several tests and ultrasounds, I was given the devastating news that this was, in fact, an abnormal pregnancy.” Carmella wrote.

Carmella added that carrying the pregnancy would have placed her own life in danger because the fertilized egg was growing in her fallopian tube rather than her uterus. She described experiencing intense abdominal pain that forced her to the emergency division, where she discovered she was pregnant ectopically, a condition that affects only 6% of pregnancies.
“After every storm, there is a rainbow 🌈 our little miracle is due this November and we couldn’t be more thrilled 🥹🤍,” the couple shared in a joint Instagram post.
She continued, “I don’t know what I did to deserve these kiddos and all of this love, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. @wwegraves and I are just so blessed to be adding to our little family. Warning: you’re gonna need a tissue!!! 🤧😭.”
Asuka won the event and booked her spot at WrestleMania 39 in a Raw Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair. Carmella was the final participant to be eliminated from that contest by Asuka.
