This week WWE has booked some exciting segments for Friday night, here is a preview on the match card of the June 23rd episode.

This week’s Friday Night SmackDown is slated to occur at Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana. On Saturday, June 24, 2023, WWE SmackDown will start at 8 PM in the United States and begin streaming live in India at 5:30 AM. This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown will feature a Women’s Tag Team Championship Unification Match. There will also be two singles contests in this episode.
As a preview of the MITB ladder battle, LA Knight battled Santos Escobar in a one-on-one bout last week on SmackDown. After the match, where Escobar won by reverse roll down, LA Knight lost his mind and attacked Escobar. Rey Mysterio attempted to make the save, but LA Knight pulled him aside and walked away with a look. They’ll face off in a one-on-one match coming Friday, with LWO in Rey’s corner. The match might potentially develop a feud between LA Knight and LWO for a longer period of time, with LA Knight taking the win and LWO’s attack after the match being the contest’s likely conclusion.
In a Championship Unification Match, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are expected to face NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Rousey and Baszler strolled onto SmackDown after a dominant championship win and challenged the NXT Tag Team Champions, who had been drafted as champions. They agreed to a winner-take-all match for title unification. After a tough bout, Rousey and Baszler are expected to win the belts. This match has the potential to be the evening’s major attraction, and a repeat at SummerSlam is highly likely.

The origins of the match can be traced back to the June 9th episode of SmackDown, when Shotzi fought IYO Sky in a Money in the Bank Qualification Match. After Bayley distracted Shotzi, IYO won and qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Bayley is expected to face Shotzi in a match this week for causing the match. It is a rematch of the MITB qualification bout, and if Shotzi wins, she will substitute for Bayley in the MITB tournament in London. IYO causing Bayley’s victory might be an improved method to start the SummerSlam feud.
Aside from that, Cameron Grimes and Baron Corbin, who have continued squabbling since their last match, will face off in a rematch on Friday Night SmackDown.
