Carlito's return at WWE Backlash

Carlito made a cameo at WWE Backlash 2023 when he helped Bad Bunny in fighting against The Judgement Day during the Bad Bunny's bout with Damian Priest.

Carlito, whose real name is Carlos Edwin Colón Jr., is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler. He was born on February 21, 1979, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Carlito is best known for his time in WWE, where he wrestled from 2004 to 2010. He debuted on the main roster in 2004 and quickly gained popularity with his cool persona, spitting apple gimmick, and catchphrase, “That’s not cool.” Carlito was known for his in-ring abilities and won multiple championships during his WWE career. Following his departure from WWE, Carlito continued wrestling on the independent circuit and in various international promotions.

Carlito’s Return to WWE

In 2010, WWE fired the former Intercontinental Champion for violating WWE’s wellness policy. Later superstar joined Independent Circuit He made a comeback in 2021, competing in the Royal Rumble event and on the WWE RAW program from February 1, 2021. Carlito made a cameo at WWE Backlash 2023 when he helped Bad Bunny in fighting against The Judgement Day during the Bad Bunny’s bout with Damian Priest.

“Yeah, I’m open to whatever, any good offer from anywhere, it doesn’t matter,” Carlito exclusively told Metro. ‘Thing is, nobody calls me so I don’t sit by the phone either. If something comes up, great, if not I keep doing what I’m doing’ he said.

Carlito talked about how nervous he was when he first joined his father’s established wrestling company WWC, and after training for only three weeks, he made his debut in the wrestling world.

After all his efforts he finally made his debut in WWE main roster smackdown brand in 2004 and beat John Cena on the same night and won the United State Championship in his first match on the brand in 2004.

‘Growing up in it and working in my dad’s promotion, I was kind of prepared for everything,’ he admitted. ‘It was all the same, just a grander stage – much bigger, but the same formula.’

Carlito is still wrestling around the world at the age of 44, which is quite impressive and inspiring for all his fans. He also talked about what keeps on inspiring him to wrestle, he said he’s just trying to keep up with the young folks, and when he thinks he can’t keep up that’s the time to hang up his shoes.

A similar thing happened during the Royal Rumble 2021. When he surprised everyone with his return not only in Royal Rumble but also as the tag partner of Jeff Hardy on Raw the next day. But sadly not for the longer run. But all his fans are eagerly wanting to see his return to WWE. So that he can entertain them as he used to do in his prime.
