Cody Rhodes is just days away from vying for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. After returning from injury and winning the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble in January, “The American Nightmare” has been a regular on “WWE Raw.” Mark Henry, a WWE Hall of Famer, says Rhodes is the “main reason” why the three-hour red-branded program has been more entertaining in recent weeks.

In the main event of WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes will face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently stated on Busted Open Radio that Cody has rightfully become the face of WWE RAW and the major draw for the red brand.

“That’s saying a lot when you got Roman Reigns, you know, on the ballot,” Henry said on “Busted Open Radio.” “I mean, there’s a load of talent that we’re seeing that this guy is taking precedence over, and that means something. Like, he moves the needle, and he’s everything now that is kind of looked at in the office as somebody that can carry the load.”

Cody Rhodes is a top talent

Rhodes recently stated that if he wins the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39, he intends to compete as much as possible, giving “Raw” a major boost by having a world champion appear and perform on a daily basis. Henry believes the Stamford-based company should continue to promote Rhodes as a top talent on WWE television.

“He’s the suit-wearing, professionally polished personified thing that Vince [McMahon] loves so much,” Henry said. “As well as, why would you bring in somebody with the aura of Cody Rhodes, where he came from in that company [AEW], and not push that guy to the moon? If you don’t, it’s a bad investment.” – h/t to Wrestling Inc

What was John Cena asked by Cody during the recent WWE Raw exchange?

After his recent return to Monday Night Raw, John Cena created quite a stir in the wrestling community. Cody Rhodes was dragged out in front of the Boston audience by John Cena after he delivered a critical promo on WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. Before Rhodes’ match with Roman Reigns in the WWE WrestleMania 39 main event, Cena and the American Nightmare had an embrace.

The 16-time world champion, then symbolically supported Rhodes by raising the American Nightmare’s arm. Before that, Cena and Rhodes had a brief conversation that the cameras missed. In an interview with Stadium Astro, Rhodes said that during the unaired chat, he stressed his desire to wrestle Cena.

“I was telling him [that] if he ever does another match, I would like it to be with him,” Rhodes said. “I think you could hear him pretty well. He says, ‘I can’t promise that.’”
