Charles Betts is an American Professional Wrestler who was born in Minnesota, USA on March 8, 1986. Unlike other wrestlers who come from a family of entertainment wrestlers, Gable boasts a different kind of wrestling background. Prior to joining the WWE, Gable was an Olympic wrestler who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics. He signed his contract with WWE in 2013 and made his debut in 2015 under the NXT brand.

Chad Gable’s career

Charles signed his contract with WWE in November 2013. And he was assigned to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida where he performed under the ring name Chad Gable. Chad Gable then made his actual WWE debut under the NXT brand on 5 September 5, 2014, defeating Troy McClain. He even clashed with Braun Strowman on December 19, 2014, but unfortunately lost. Later he made his TV debut against Tyler Breeze and lost.

Later in May 2015, Gable started a promo with Jason Jordan where he tried to recruit him into making a new team. He finally succeeded in doing so after two months of convincing. Later Gable and Jason made their tag team debut as American Alpha on the July 15, episode of NXT. During their debut, they managed to defeat the team of Elias Samson and Steve Cutler and later participated in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament, where he beat the team of Neville and Solomon Crowe. But they’d soon get eliminated from the tournament after defeating the Hype Bros by Baron Corbin and Rhyno. Both of them started off as heels but soon became fan favorites even after numerous defeats.

In August 2017, Gable entered a tag team with Shelton Benjamin. Soon after forming the team, they won against the Ascension. Later down the line, they’d even defeat The Hype Bros, Ascension,f, and Breezango to once again take a shot at the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, but were unable to take the title from the Usos. In October of 2020, Gable entered a tag team with Otis, this tag team went on to defeat Randy Orton and Riddle to win the Raw Tag Team Championship.
